Ride to Glory!
The Volume team have just hit the road for "Ride to Glory". Kicking off eight days of riding madness.
Ride Magazine have got five teams from leading BMX brands travel the length of the country as they go head to head for a week of savage riding, grueling tasks and general debauchery. Kicking off in at Unit 23 in Scotland, each team spends the next eight days ticking off tricks and challenges from the book as they head for the White Rock in Hastings.

Ryan "Biz" Jordan in the UK
Hi I just went and picked Biz up from the airport and he only just made it to England, it look like the was going to send him back on the next plane to Cali they could not believe that he was here for a BMX trip and had had his airfare paid buy a company to film and take photos but after an hours interrogation finally let him through. He was seen about today in London doing a bit sight seeing, checking a few spots and having tea with the queen. Look out for him more this coming week coming to town near you!

Rush Freecoaster (adjustable gap)
Here is the New Alienation adjustable gap freecoaster and new Grips
The hub is based on the KHE internal's but this hub is the first to see an adjustable gap that can be done while on the bike by just a 5mm allen key down the axle giving it a quick turn you can have a small gap for every day running or trails turn it to a big gap for those half cabs down steps and know your not going to have the freewheel kick in.
New Mr hand grips these things are so soft, made from Krayton rubber in 5 colours comes with a plastic end plug.

Dean Cueson on Volume
Like to welcome Dean to the Volume UK Team, Dean just went out with us to the Fise competition in France this was his first Airplane flight, first trip abroad, and first major competition, think it was the first time in the sun as you can see sporting a nice set of crab sticks arms. He did not do things by halffs he entered Pro street and Qualified joint 20 with fellow team rider Ryan Elcock out of 68 riders and finished 18th overall. Which is dam good at 16 years of age. Look out for a lot more of this Guy. Dean is also running some of the new Alienation Delinquent rims which he is also hooked up on.

The UKs Anthony Watkinson Joins DK's US Pro Team
DK Bicycle Company is honored to announce the addition of the UK’s Anthony Watkinson to our US Pro Team.
Anthony is 19 years old and hails from Liverpool, England. Watkinson has made some big moves in 2007 and is looking to take that momentum into 2008. His incredible style and wild tricks like inverts to tailwhips make his riding so enjoyable to watch. Anthony plans on hitting the AST Dew Tour circuit in addition to most of the European contests this year. Watkinson will be attending the first big contest of the year- Simpel Session in Tallinn, Estonia on January 25th-27th.
DK Team Manager Catfish had this to say:
I am super excited to have Anthony aka “Mousey” on DK. He came to the U.S.and lived with me for a couple months and he is just an amazing person. His riding is just as amazing. He’s got some big contest wins under his belt and I’m sure that is just the beginning. Not to mention he’s notorious for jaw dropping web videos. I am also really psyched on the fact that he lives in England. It’s been a while since DK had an English rider on board and now I am stoked to have one of the UK’s finest now officially on a DK.

Team-Jisatsu; Glamorama BMX Competition

The Event
Glamorama BMX Competition, well be an indoor skate park event, showcasing the freshest talents of local and national BMX riders. Teams of four riders, will battle against one another until there is only the winning team left. Then the winning team, will then have to clash with one another for the overall prize.
As something a little different, we are going to have a best dressed rider contest, and see who is taking the BMX fashion world by storm, which will be judged by all the ladies in attendance.
After the contest, we will have an after session riding party. Were we will bring live music from some local bands to help sing the night away.
My local West Indian takeaway will bring some quality ‘home cooked’ Caribbean food for all the hungry joes.
*We also plan to hold a raffle/auction in support of the Stephen Murray Family Fund.
**If possible for an added extra bonus, we would like to get pro UK rider teams to battle each other to see which team has that something special…its all for fun!!

UGP have been producing BMX clothing since 1986. They have just released their Autumn range. Which includes some amazing new designs. You can check out the range on their website Underground Products.

We have just received our King Kong delivery for this month! Our newest item for sale is the Kong Ankle Guard, an inner and outer ankle protector which simply slips on. Each is made from one size fits all neoprene with an elastic under strap for super support, RRP: £11.99!
King Kong have topped us up on Wilke Gloves - Markus Wilke's signature glove made from spandex material on the back and Clario leather on the palm which give the gloves excellent fitting and grip!
We have also received more of the King Kong Shin Pads which feature plastic shin inserts and small ankle guards for extra protection.

TWOAND8 presents the 2007 Worcester BMX Stephen Murray Jam
The guys over at TWO&8 / Worcester BMX Jam have just sent us this press release for this years Worcester BMX Jam. Heres what they had to say :
The date has been set, the skate park is being swept, the trails are being
groomed and the bands have been booked. TWOAND8 presents the 2007 Worcester
BMX Stephen Murray Jam. This is going to be the biggest BMX jam in the UK
for the summer. TWOAND8 is taking BMX back to its roots! No big prize money,
no strict TV schedule – back to why we all started riding our bikes……..For
fun!
This jam is to raise money for The Stephen Murray Family Fund. After a tragic crash at the Baltimore Dew Tour June 2007, Stephen has been left with serious injuries to his spinal cord and vertebrae. The fund has been set up to raise money to support Stephen in his long and on-going rehabilitation, as well as helping to look after his family.
His brother Martin Murray and many close friends are tirelessly working to put together an amazing weekend.
This is a new venue and format for the TWOAND Jam spread over 2 days. Day 1 is going to be at Perdiswell concrete park, this is going to be the first time this park has seen a BMX event. Day 2 is going to be at the infamous Alianos Trails, which are usually invite only. However for 1 day it’s going to be open to everyone!
So what you waiting for? Get a crew together and head to Worcester on 25th & 26th August, Bank Holiday weekend …………Stay strong.

Standard Shipment
We have had a load of new products in from the guys at Standard. Firstly is the re-introduction of the Standard Strip bars! For those of you that don’t remember them the Standard Strip Bars are USA made 2pc bar, 28.5” wide, 7.75” rise and have a 10º back sweep.
Standard have also released new versions of the M5 and M3 sprockets. Both the M3 and M5 sprocket are CNC machined with tiny s-logo engravings. The M3 has 3/32” with a hollowed out lighter pattern. The M5 is a slightly tougher version of the M3 sprocket with 1/8” teeth and is made from 6061 aluminium.
There as also 4 new Standard t-shirt designs, Flying S-Logo, Sketch, SBC Old School and Cobra. Along with all the new t-shirts Standard have released new sticker packs, pin badges and a new design top loader stem.

DK have just released their new DK R/T Frame:Race/Trail frame, Made with Heat treated butted crmo tubing, with a Integrated head tube, Spanish BB, Removable gyro tabs, U-brake mounts on the chain stays ,14mm axle slots. Sizes: 20.5 or 21. Colours: Blue Weight: 2.25kg - (4 lbs 14 oz). (21”)
DK 12t Freewheel
New 12t Freewheel from DK. Screw on fitment for 14t/flip-flop style hubs. The 12t freewheels will allow you to run upto a 12-33t ratio without affecting your gearing.

German BMX Masters Results
The BMX Masters in Germany was the scene for some fantastic riding at the weekend. With great results from some of our team riders, Volume and Demolition’s Biz Jordan (USA) won 1st place in the Pro Dirt Finals. King Kong’s Mark Webb (ENG) came in 3rd in the Pro Mini Ramp Finals and Failure’s Jason Phelan (ENG) came in 12th in the Pro Street/Freestyle finals
