Ride to Glory - Results!
All of the teams reached their destination at 6pm this evening. Nobody was late and everybody had their books with them. Who won? Read on...

The Proper and Fit teams were the first to arrive, the Fit team setting up their own BBQ and having a few cheeky beers. Next up was the Volume team, who rocked up after completing the last challenge of the trip only minutes before by getting fully submerged in the sea... Seventies were next and finally Wethepeople who had lied about their broken van and brought along a ton of produce to throw at the Volume bus.

Bancroft and Gunner collected up al the books from the teams and went to adjudicate them. The results were as following...

5th place, Federal Bikes with only 800 points...
4th place, Proper Bike Co with 2275 points...
3rd place, Wethepeople with 3500 points...
2nd place, Fit Olde English with 4275 points...
And the winners,
by a small margin of 75 points were Volume Bikes UK with a total of 4350...

Day Eight last day

Final day and I think Chicken made the best choice to stay in. My head was banging but we had to get up to finish a few challenges. Like paint a team members bike Matt Priest bike got painted flo Pink nice then Biz and Matt took up the longest Manual first try was .2 of a Mile not bad then 2nd try Biz matched that again but Matt just kept going as .5 mile come up then finished at 3/4 of a mile how about that for a manual. Next challenge was to get the whole team fully submerged under water at some point so we parked up at Hastings sea front run down the beach then the clothes started to come off, set up the camera and run in the sea boy was it cold but ticked that off. Made it to the skate park with 25 minutes to spare/ to be greeted with a royal egging by the We The People Boys thanks guys. Handed the books in for Banners and Gunner to add up the points

Went across the road to where there are some rails Robin took the over rail home Biz got Ice pick grinds Ryan with 50 /50 Biz was up for backwards to rail when you guessed it kicked off again. Found this flat bed trailer that Biz just hopped over. Then on to a small hip Ryan bars over Chicken wall to180 off. Then time to pack up for the day and headed down to Brighton as it was Friday night and we needed a beer by this point. Chicken decided to say in and be fresh for the last day we headed out to club Digital for a good time.

Day Six

Chicken the task master made the decision this was going to be the day we are having it. So we set the alarms had showers and were on the road by 10.30 which is not easy when you have to get 8 guy's ready and packed in to the Van. So next stop Coventry city centre. First stop Subway then a bank car park with red rails hop over rail to over rail 180 bars from chicken 180 to half cab over rail from Biz over to bars from Ryan. Robin to pegs. Then the fun was stopped when a grumpy women came out and kicked us off, that's the trouble with week day sessions. next spot small rail took the guys eyes, to again get kicked off. Found a up stairs launch where Biz and Chicken  put down tuck no handerfs, whips, look backs, 180 toboggans,180.whip. Then on to the church garden and form my point of view the nicest spot ridden for photos. Biz with a flat rail ride (that had welded bits on) to over plant pot, Chicken to wall ride down stairs. Might just have to wait for the next Ride Mag for this one though. Packed up moved on to Corby indoor Park for Ryan to lay down on home turf which turned out to be crazy as it was the hottest day by far it was a sweat box. So quickly moved on to Bobs trails for a evening trail session to the sun setting perfect day and turned out to be our most productive one too.

Day Five

A few calls where made and next location sorted, the weather was great blue sky's and set off to Jay Aliano's Trails in his back garden, he was not there but met up with Martin Murray who knows how to lay it down, this was our most chilled out day such a nice setting! We needed to get back as we had a date with Dave the tattoo artist that Chicken just happens to live with. He sorted Ryan out with spot on Ride to Glory tattoo 500 points in the bag for this one. This made it just about the right time to do the meal out at the Chinese restaurant challenge. We were all so hungry that we must have looked like animals, the food as gone within minutes of it being put on the table. Crispy Duck you know its good, Bob downed the Hoi Sin sauce. The guys got me good when they switched the bill for one that was £:512 my heart nearly stopped. Then back to Chicken's for a late night lap top party.

The Most chilled out day on the trip

Day Four

Woke up with sore head and the smell of pee! Bob where did that come from? Made the drive back southwards to Liverpool drove down and met up with Leon Perkins, Harry Main and Anthony Watkinson (thanks Guys) so we road street around their way and his back garden ramp where Ryan had a bars to ice on the back rail then disappeared over the fence in to next doors garden where he winded himself for the 3 time on the trip so far. Then left to go in to the main Liverpool city centre where Ryan did a whip down a five step set first time for him pulled clean. Chicken just slayed it, ticking some big tricks off the list on a 12 stairs set even though it only needed to be 8 or more stairs. I voted him rider of the day. Biz was hating life where the bare foot bunny hop came back to bite him on the arse as his foot got a bad cut and went all swollen and could not ride. Packed the van and headed down to Chickens house to sleep for the night. We had a night off the beer can't have to much of a good thing.

Ryan Voted best back seat driver of the trip

Where to next.

Day Three

As it rained on us in Glasgow the day before and the weather was much better today we gave it another go for a bit of a street ride. The car park just happened to have 12 step rail hop and a weird flat bank building where Chicken needed to use the 1ft kicker to get on the top of, you'll have to wait for the video edit to see. Matt was playing on this speed racer gap, Ryan and chicken on the hip .Then on to the underpass spot with bank to rail and huge blue rail which Biz 50 down. While we were riding Bob had a body crash with the lack of sleep kicking in, he had a spot of road side snoozing. I see the Fit boys where at this spot to at some point. On the way back we found this 200+ foot rail that just went on an on Robin chalked up out longest rail of 58ft then time pack up head of to Liverpool for yet another night out, this one was a special one, our man chickens 21st Birthday we hit up the walkabout for mad Monday 2-1 drinks and a wet tee shirts contest which I don't think Chicken saw it as he was asleep on the smokers balcony.

Day Two

Think we all woke up with sore heads from the Glasgow nightlife and it lived up to every thing we expected. Floor was dry but cloudy by the time we were all up it was 11 ish so the we headed off to find a few street spots in Glasgow town centre but got about 10 minutes from the van when Bizs back freecoaster hub decided to play up so had to do a bit of open heart surgery on the road side. I got it back going and off we went with the loss of another hour but the team amused themselves with the back hops in 1 minute challenge. Then Biz nearly did the longest ice pick grind I have ever seen. Then the weather turned on us and down came the rain so it was back to the van and off Back to Unit 23 for another session (Big thanks to chick for letting us stay and ride probably the best park in the country) I did the over spine tooth pick and the back rail fuf to tick a few tricks off the book. Finished the day by heading back to Glasgow town for a another night out on the town well it would be rude not to.

Trouble again boys

Day One

Started off with great weather blue skies, and the odd smell of a bacon roll for breakfast. Team Volume got to work on the height pole challenges as there was no way they were going to fit in the van. Turned more in to laugh that serious challenge. Biz took on the bunny hop challenge and did a bare foot bunny hop over the challenge height with ease which cut the underside of his foot then went on to get an all time best of 48 inches with shoes. Once they were done loaded the van and off to Livingstone skate park, we had four punctures in the first hour then Matt Priest set about launching some big gap from a hipped bank to a lower flat bank, it was like 7-8 meters. The team took on the nose pick with a front brake and ticked that one off the list. Chicken jumped out of the park with a bars spin over the rail then time to head back to Glasgow for bit of late night party action. If you fancy a good night out Glasgow is well worth the travel.

Arrival day

Started off leaving the Scoop HQ late for picking Biz and Ryan at his house then on to meet up with Chicken in Birmingham then the long haul up to Scotland to Unit 23 Skate Park. We finally arrived there at 10.30pm. So off come the bikes for a warm up session. Just after midnight all the riders was grouped together and Steve Bancroft from Ride Mag handed out our Ride To Glory team books with a list of the weeks challenges to complete with a mix of riding challenges and some silly things to keep things fun like the highest bunny hop bare foot.

The riding went on till 3.00 in the morning, then everyone crashed out on massive chunks of foam from the pit.
